Notice of the Geography & Education Research Group (GeogEd) Annual General Meeting & Committee Elections 2020

All GeogEd members, and those beyond who would like to find out more about the group, are invited to attend this year’s AGM. The AGM is usually held at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference, however to due its postponement, we are holding our GeogEd AGM online via Zoom.
The AGM is an opportunity to find out about the work of the Research Group and shape the agenda for the next year of activities. There will also be the usual standing reports from the Leadership roles on the Committee relating to finances and membership. A full agenda will be circulated closer to the date.
At the AGM we will be holding elections for two positions on the GeogEd Committee:
- Deputy Secretary: The role of the Deputy Secretary is to support the Secretary in their duties for the group, typically this will include planning/organising events and updating membership records.
- FE/HE Liaison: This role is to help ensure different educational settings and levels are represented in the group. In particular this role helps ensure that HE delivered in FE settings is an area well represented in GeogEd.
